Ulysses, a gentle and loving 7 year old red nose pitbull, loves nothing more to cuddle. After seven years as a loyal family companion, his former family tossed him away like garbage. Ulysses found himself alone, confused, and depressed in his cell at a Chicago kill shelter. Despite being abandoned and betrayed, Ulysses’ spirit remains unbroken. His sparkling gregarious personality caught the eyes of one volunteer and the shelter’s veterinarian, who rarely takes a liking to any dog. But, both saw something special in Ulysses and were smitten. He is the definition of the perfect gentleman. He doesn’t barrel out of the kennel when the door opens; he simply lays his head on the person that is visiting enjoying the warmth of human touch. Regardless of their personalities, Ulysses loves every dog and person he meets. The volunteer sent Twenty Paws an email telling them about Ulysses. Scheduled for euthanasia, Twenty Paws could not let this middle aged gentle soul die alone in a shelter. Ulysses is looking for his new family. One that won’t abandon him again. A pure lover, Ulysses is a sweetheart that only craves a warm place to lay his head and have his worries melt away forever. Living in a foster home and waiting for forever, he is available for adoption.
