Shakira, appropriately named for her joyous hip shaking belly dance she greets people and dogs (big, medium, and small) upon meeting, is our darling engaging 2 year old pittie girl. Shakira enjoys interacting with people and dogs! Also, she is doing well in negotiating canine-feline relations. I think she will come up with a peace plan soon! It took a moment, but she is really grasping an understanding of cats and how to get along with them. A shelter favorite for her remarkable and laid back nature, Shakira was sometimes utilized as a dog to test other dogs with.
Upon arrival to the shelter, poor Shakira was absoutely filthy and thin. So much so that the shelter and we believe she was likely a junkyard dog . Now she is getting back to health and gaining weight like a champ. You can even see a new light in her face. Shes doing very well with potty training and hasnt had any accidents. Shakrias lengthly list of accomplishments also includes perfect fetching, speed, agility, rolling on her back, and absolute cuteness.
If she could, Shakira would lay with you all day long. Wont you consider becoming her cuddle buddy and best friend?
