Stratus is a 12ish year old 14lb shih tzu of joy. Literally, this is the happiest little boy you will meet. Stratus LOVES meeting other dogs and people. He is blind, so please be considerate of that. However, his other senses are heightened, especially his sense of love ( see what we did there?)
Stratus is house broken and very well behaved. He was a rock star at the groomers and with the vet staff. He came to us from the city shelter, where he arrived as a stray with his brother. Unfortunately, his brother was so neglected he was humanely euthanized. There was nothing medicine or science could do for him. We could not leave Stratus behind at the shelter, mounting for his brother. So, he came to one of our amazing foster homes for some TLC. There, he enjoys doggy day care and tons of love and affection! He eats it right up!
Stratus would really be a lovely match for a house or apartment. He loves all people he meets. However, due to his vision impairment, it would be best not have him in a home with small children. Older kids would be great, though! The more love, the better!
