We understand things happen in life that result in you needing to re-home a pet. Our team is compassionate and understanding to those that surrender their pet. We are a foster home only organization and do not have a shelter or facility. We will welcome your pet and provide them with the care they need. Judgement free for you.
If you decided surrendering your pet is the route you would like to take, please complete the owner surrender form below. Be as honest as possible on the form. This allows us to find the right placement for your pet. Allow up to 24 hours for a response. If movement is an emergency, please let us know. We want to make things as smooth as possible for you and your pet.
Next, a representative from the rescue will contact you to have a discussion. We will request you send us pictures and/or videos of your pet that we can use to post or send to our foster families. Also, we ask you have the pet’s vet records, if they have any, handy- vaccine records, physicals, medications they are currently on, anything regarding medical history. If they have a medical condition, please let us know so we can provide them with the proper care. Usually the conversation lasts about 20 min, but will take as long as you need.
If you would like or can, you can hold onto your pet until a forever home is found for them. Otherwise, they will go to a foster home. Sometimes we do have an adopter lined up right away, but not always.
*If your animal has bitten or broken skin in the last 10 days, please let us know so we can follow the right steps to protect your pet and others.
Surrendering a Stray?
Please complete the owner surrender form with as much info as you have. We ask you also submit pictures/videos of the found pet. If possible, please send pictures of how the animal was found or the condition. We hold stray animals for 72 hours. During this time, our team searches through various databases for any reports of lost pets that may fit the description of that animal. We also contact lost and found groups to see if someone is searching for this animal. Proof of ‘ownership’ must be presented to claim the pet. If no one claims him/her during this time, they will be processed for evaluation.
