We here at Rescue Cinnamon and Twenty Paws Rescue have saved this astonishing news for a fantastically special day. Cinnamon’s new life may be celebrated this Thanksgiving! Over a month ago her then potential family came to our adoption event and stopped by our tent when they noticed the incredibly good-natured and calm disposition of Cinnamon.
Today our girl will have her first holiday filled with warmth and endless love and forever her life will be changed. She is showing amazing resilience she has not had one accident in her home, she gets exercise daily, and runs unleashed / free in her local dog park.
We owe a Thank You and Hug to each and every one of you that have remained devoted in helping us in her search for forever.
Marie M. we will BY NO MEANS be able to THANK YOU enough for the effortless devotion you give to Twenty Paws and many other organizations. You make our rescue thrive daily.
Today we are blessed for Cinnamon’s forever life and her new family.
Meet our newest rescue CINNAMON! Her story is a courageous one of survival and beating the odds of a high kill Tennessee shelter. Her journey took her all the way into the safety of Twenty Paws Rescue in New York. Cinnamon is a red nose brindle Pitbull mix who found herself dumped onto the streets after a horrendous human took her babies away from her at only a few weeks old. The Tipton Tennessee shelter euthanizes dogs weekly. In the shelter, only a fortunate few survive a week or two. Cinnamon is special. She stole the shelter staff’s hearts and they went above and beyond to keep her alive. This was a fight, one that no human words could do justice to. In order to keep her alive, the staff had to keep Cinnamon hidden and disguised from the higher ups. Time and time again Cinnamon proved her unwavering love for humans. When people visited with children, she was a gentle lamb. If people approached her, she wiggled with joy. She enjoys car rides and anyone on 2 feet. Not only did Cinnamon survive the shelter and beat the odds; but she survived bring scheduled for euthanasia over 10 times. Twenty Paws Rescue and the shelter staff confirmed Cinnamon’s miraculous story.
However, Cinnamon’s story does not end here. She is phenomenal with adults and children. However, she waits to have a full behavioral evaluation. It’s suspected that she does not share the same love she has for people with other animals. Thus, she would have to be the only pet in the home. Twenty Paws will test this theory to see if it is true. From the shelter, Cinnamon traveled to a Tennessee vet’s office for quarantine, spay, vaccinations, deworming, and other care. She is grossly underweight and needs to gain at least 10 lbs to be considered healthy. After her stay with the vet, she will travel to NY to a boarding facility. Once she arrives there, she will be evaluated and the Rescue will determine the best foster home for her.
